Makin' copies...

WH Smith book store on the rue de Rivoli near the Louvre carries the Sunday New York Times and so on Monday, knowing what I knew, I went by metro, plunked down €16 for all those pages of newsprint, and saw for myself that I really was on the first page of the "Style" section, as my brother from N.J. had called to tell me (although it was my daughter Lucy in NYC who first alerted him to the fact.)

Since the article appeared, I am amazed at just how many people who don't live in NY actually read the Times! But it's the internet, Jake. They read it online.

And so I have made a couple of resolutions: to answer as soon as possible anyone who writes to comment on the article; to actually go to "O Chateau," the Hidden Kitchen, Chez Nous, Chez Vous, and any other concern that is mentioned in the article.

The next day, I went to my favorite printer at M° Jules Joffrin, ABG Réprographie, who have made postcard invitations of art shows in the past for me, and made color copies of the article to send to people who might like to have the hard copy.

A note about the photo: Owen Franken took the photo, and has posted on his website many, many more of our afternoon in early March: www.owenfranken.com

The artist Christian Gorget is to my right. His paintings are on the walls. The other people are my friends who are too shy to have their names mentioned in print!

On to the next thing: The Almost Spring ART ROuNDuP here on Saturday, April 10 when we will take a look at art shows, openings, happenings and every sort of doing, coming or going coming up in the very near future. In Paris and all over the world. Send me your suggestions.

I just went to Paris for the first time for New Years and I fell in LOVE with the city. My fiance is British and I'm trying to convince him that we need to move to Paris for a few years. We're going to be back for a few weekends this summer and I can't wait to hunt for the places in the article.

The article was amazing and you have SUCH a beautiful gallery/home. It made me wish I was a member of your neighborhood and was able to partake in the hidden Paris. (And you look beautiful in your photograph at the bottom!)

EXCELLENT! And you were a popular feature to boot!
I went looking on Owen's site but impossible to find amidst his gazillion France entries :(
Have you got a direct link Grace?

Hello. I am coming to Paris for the first time at the end of June. I would love to visit Hidden Kitchen, O'Chateau, or Chez Nous, Chez Vous. Have emailed them and waiting on response. Would love to visit one of your events as well!

Here is my suggestion: keep being such a wonderful refreshing breath of air. I read the NYT article and looked you up, and feel as if I have already been to your wonderful home to enjoy the company and art. We have all been to galleries (and indeed my paintings are in them), but this is like the opening that is so not like an openng. I suddenly feel tremendously inspired. Thank you, Grace!

PS to Paris Breakfasts: search Grace's name on his search bar. You'll go right there.
